possible Denholm Zholdas avoid people entering tanks and vessels and
have a range of specialist water jetting tools to allow them to clean
tanks and vessels remotely, invariably using such equipment is quicker
as well as reducing the health and saftey risks.
Where it is necessary for people to enter tanks
and vessels Denholm Zholdas will undertake this with operatives who are
fully trained and fully equipped with the latest breathing apparatus and
other equipment for safe tank entry.
When cleaning crude oil tanks, a large amount of oil and oily sludge is
often recovered. Removal of the sludge is completed using our Hydrodozer
system, an intrinsically safe, hydraulically operated bulldozer system
which can dramatically reduce the time required to clear the sludge from
the bottom of the tank. The Hydrodozer can be operated either manually
or by remote control and can be dismantled to fit through a standard 18"
manhole. Denholm Zholdas offer the option of on-site sludge treatment. A
mobile centrifugal separator system is used to split the recovered
sludge into dry sand, oil and water. The oil can be re-injected into the
production process, the sand and water can be disposed of via the normal
waste and effluent systems.
