Royal Boost for DOS Team

Three Denholm Oilfield Services Directors were part of a select group of invitees to a reception for British businesses, hosted by H.R.H. the Duke of York on his recent visit to Kazakhstan.

The timing for the reception couldn't have been better for Denholm Zholdas as they had just been awarded a $10m contract by the Karachaganak Petroleum Operating Company, a consortium led by joint operators BG Group and Eni.

DZ Managing director Graeme Milne said "It was an honour to meet His royal highness, and also the British Ambassador, Paul Brummell, and it was pleasing to be recognised for the work that Denholm Zholdas is doing in Kazakhstan!

I took the opportunity to discuss our plans for an international graduate management development scheme for local graduates, and I'm confident that the British consulate will be able to support that exciting new initiative."

It seemed that the Ambassador was particularly impressed that Denholm Zholdas had registered as a Kazakhstan company as far back as 1999, and that 98 per cent of the workforce were local people.
